Here we see a Rock Island unit emerging from a cut about to cross the
river. The cut is achieved by putting rock scenery between the viewer and
the track. In addition to creating a more realistic topography, it adds to
a sense of space causing the train to momentarily drop out of view.
The Bridge
A new powder blue and white Rock Island unit leads a freight as it's
about to cross the river.
The Bluff
The rock face was created by breaking ceiling tile into pieces and
covering with a layer of earth colored paint. This resulted in a light
weight rock wall with the detail often found using heavy plaster molds.
